Owner
Donald R. Blanks, Sr. has been the Pastor at Restoration COGIC in Waynesboro, PA since March 2006. From the time when he arrived in the town of Waynesboro, he has been dedicated to serving the surrounding community. Donald Blanks has hosted and participated in various community events and functions. He has worked alongside fellow community leaders in the hopes of identifying and helping to fill the evolving needs of the people. One of the other ways that he seeks to accomplish this goal is through his business ventures. Donald Blanks received his degree in Hagerstown, MD where he received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Purdue University Global. This has led him to start and continue to develop different businesses in Waynesboro and the surrounding communities. These businesses have benefited the neighborhoods by providing jobs and needed services. Donald Blanks is also a father and an adoptive parent. He grew up in a large family with limited resources but overcame obstacles due to needed support from various sources. Over the years, he learned that it “takes a village” to contribute to the emotional well-being, educational endeavors and potential success of a child. And opening the daycare center has become the most recent outlet to help fulfill this objective.

I am a licensed master social worker. I have worked with students from varying grade levels for several years. I grew up in the projects in the South Bronx and I experienced some childhood trauma that could have potentially been the catalyst to a tumultuous and troubled life. However, there were many influential individuals throughout my life that were instrumental in providing support, access to resources and new opportunities. As a result of this firsthand experience, I learned that early intervention along with consistent love and support can be instrumental in helping to positively impact the trajectory of a child’s life despite how troubled their beginnings may have been. With guidance, I learned how to have that same pain that I experienced at a young age help to fuel my passion for helping others. Instead of continuing to fuel my anger towards others, I want to serve as that same catalyst for change, growth and development for other young people; and help pay forward some of the needed support and guidance that I experienced.
Erica
Regional Administrator of our learning centers
Ericamarie Freelove, in which you can call her Erica, is committed to providing support to the staff, children and families at Today’s New Start Learning Center and The Beanstalk Child Care. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Mary’s University in Elementary Education. With her experience working at Waynesboro Daycare Center and with Frederick County Public Schools for many years, Erica is ready for a new challenge to expand her knowledge of being the Regional Administrator of our learning centers. Her passion of working with children brought her to our center. She is extremely dedicated to maintaining a positive environment at our learning centers in which she makes certain that the children will get the best care possible. Erica, her husband, and their son are Waynesboro residents and enjoy spending time together with family and friends, watching superhero movies and look forward to many more new experiences together.

Hello! I am currently the Assistant Director at Beanstalk; I have been here for almost two years. I am looking forward to furthering my education. I have three boys of my own at home, so life gets very busy! I am beyond excited to share all the great experiences with our families here at the center!
